Thing #14
The program itself was interesting. It reminded me of the program Syndic8.com. The only difference is Syndic8.com were links of RSS feeds and Technorati are searches for Blog. It wasnn't suprising to see so many entries added for youtube and myspace.
THING #13
I felt that this program is a way of networking and it allows browsers to discuss common concerns and interests. I liked one of the links that was setup like a slide show. It had a nice background with the document sectioned off. Very creative.

THING 11
Library Thing was really easy to use. This excersie allows me to keep a track of the differnent books I've read. Also, staff can also use this for reader's advisory by loging on and getting opinions of the book for other staff members or maybe even customers.
Take a look at the books that are in my LibraryThing catalog. Enjoy.

Thing 10
This was sooooooo much fun. I enjoyed going through the wesite and changing my different outfits and hairstyles without having to actually get undressed and redoing my hair LOL I hope everyone else enjoyed this thing as much as I did. So take a look at my AVATAR.

I this exercise was really fun. I tried something else new and entered the Meez World. I again enjoyed changing the look of my animated person. Lots of fun. So take a look at my Meez.

Thing # 9
It was easy using the search tools. I really found it interesting that I was able to type in a city, state or zip code and read the news that happened in that area. Syndic8.com seemed to be a very large forum. I might use this forum if I am unsure of something and I need a bigger pool of information to pull from.
Thing # 8
Okay this exercise was easy to set up, but confusing to read. I liked that you can subscribe to different newfeeds and it will group the info together for easier reading. This can help in personal or work life with school work if person is using journals or doing current event reports. The information is grouped together and the person doesn't have to search several different places to find the information. Libraries can take advantage of RSS by subscribing to newspapers and journals that customers use on a regular basis and when customers comes in requesting a journal or a newspaper the information is at the librarians fingertips vs going to the actual journal or paper.
Thing # 7
Technology is fun. I makes work easier, communicating fun and cheap. For example, I email and send pictures to my family members that live out of state.
